Announcements

The weekly spelling list (almost always tested on Friday) will generally be posted on Friday afternoon for the following week. The weekly poem will also be posted Friday afternoon for the following week. Students will be expected to turn in a one page (crayon or colored pencil only) drawing depicting the poem or some aspect of the poem on the day after they receive the weekly assignment sheet in class (most often due on Tuesday). Fill the page with color and you will do just fine. Students are also expected to memorize the weekly poem and be prepared to recite it on Friday. Do not put this off... practice throughout the week and it will be easy for you.

Poem of the Week

Jellyfish Stew

Jellyfish stew, I’m loony for you,

I dearly adore you,

Oh truly I do,

you’re creepy to see,

revolting to chew

you slide down inside

with a hullabaloo.

You’re soggy, you’re smelly,

you taste like shampoo,

you bog down my belly

with oodles of goo,

yet I would glue noodles

and prunes to my shoe,

for one oozy spoonful

of jellyfish stew.
